SERVICES
You have masses of data. You know that pretty well all of these data are relevant to what you are trying to achieve. Some are more important than others. Some tell you about inputs, some about outputs, others about context. You suspect that there could well be other sources of data which would shine light on the situation. How do you sort out what to do with the data? How do you sort out the forest from the trees?
Data Strategy offers services of four types in helping you deal with these issues:
Data Strategy offers services of four types in helping you deal with these issues:
- One-off engagements. Examples include:
- a report written from your data or about your strategy
- keynote conference presentations
- a data audit, analysing your current data sources and identifying gaps
- an operations analysis to help you understand your current processes
- a plan for knowledge management
- Professional Learning Partnerships. Many professional learning experiences provided by Data Strategy are accredited by NESA at the Lead Teacher level, meaning that they count as registered hours for registered teachers at the Proficient, Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher Level. Some are accredited at the Proficient level. Others are in the process of being re-accredited under NESA's new protocol. Note that generally Data Strategy does not offer one-off PL experiences, as these are rarely effective. The service offered is usually a partnership with the school, with a number of points of engagement over 18 months to 4 years, as negotiated with the school.
- Examples of these partnerships include:
- senior leadership team coaching
- middle leadership development.
- developmental coaching as schools transition and develop
- Other types of partnership. Examples include:
- development and execution of strategic plans that are concise and which work
- data-architectural analysis to inform data provision to stakeholders
- development of approaches to capturing your organisation's knowledge
- Research. Examples include:
- Reviewing the effectiveness of existing programs
- Taking your existing data and working with you to develop new data sources; thereafter modeling the data to extract inferences and possible future directions
- Qualitative and quantitative methods applied to focused questions
- Literature search and analysis on the best research in the area of your question.
